How To Solve DNS Request Not Supported By Name Server Issue

DNS(Domain Name System) is an internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses. Without DNS, you would not be able to access a website over the internet.

Thus, it plays a crucial role in connecting your computer system to the internet and accessing websites that you want to visit.

DNS is such a sensitive internet service that you can face several errors if there is any malfunction with the DNS. DNS request not supported by name server is one of the most frequently occurring error codes which might occur to your computer system at any time.

Normally, this error occurs when you try to activate Windows Vista and Windows 7. Moreover, you can encounter this error while activating a copy of Windows outside a KMS server.  The KMS server is located inside a domain environment.

Whenever you try to attempt validating the copy of Windows, you get this error. But, don’t worry as we are going to discuss here all the possible solutions to eliminate this error.

How DNS Works?

When you try to access a website, you type the web address in the browser. DNS is like a phonebook of the internet. The web browsers interact through IP address and the DNS translates domain names to IP address so that the browsers can load the site from the internet resources. Thus, you are able to land on any website that you want.
